My life lasting Organic Towel Blanket from IKEUCHI ORGANIC. A blanket that you can use all year round is hard to find.Something which you could use lightly and comfortably from Spring to Summer and from Fall to Winter. Here is something I have finally found for an ultimate sleep and comfort.

225CMX 225CMの正方形のタオルケットは薄くてやわらか、きめ細かなコットンの肌触り。2本のオーガニックコットンをやわらかく撚り合わせたパイルは吸水性が高く、肌に吸い付くようなきめ細やかなコットンの質感を感じられるから好きになってしまう。

BRAND CONCEPT
IKEUCHI ORGANIC is all about story telling. IKEUCHI ORGANIC's philosophy is to create products with sincerity while valuing three major elements (as below) that is purely in line with my ideal.
1. Lifetime items
Only create items that can be used for a long time for a sustainable cycle of products. IKEUCHI ORGANIC repels to sell anything other than sustainably considered items.
2. Genuinely thoughtful items
Ikeuchi Organic's manufacturing is comprised of people’s energy... from the creators and the people involved in the production of organic cotton, to the people involved in manufacturing and the end users.
3. Delivery of the safest Organic towels
IKEUCHI ORGANIC delivers products woven with organic cotton with the desire to deliver the safest towels in the world, with the following three conditions.
• Cotton must be organically grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers for at least three years (The product is not considered organic until the pesticide residue in the soil of the field has been eliminated within three years).
• Seeds must not be genetically modified (Genetically modified seeds are strictly eliminated from the production line so that human hands can harvest large quantities of homogeneous cotton more quickly and efficiently).
• Fair trade (The farmers who produce the cotton must be under safe and hygienic working conditions, be paid a fair living wage, and continue to purchase the cotton at a fair and stable price.
* Organic cottons still only represents roughly 1% of the world's cotton production due to labor intensive factors. IKEUCHI ORGANIC approaches all natural environment and people they interact with honesty.

語られるものと書いて「物語」。誠意をもって語れるものづくりがIKEUCHI ORGANICのフィロソフィーでもあり、下記3つの要素を大事にし続けているから私は心から愛用している。
１. 長く使い続けられる永久定番
シーズンが終わると値下げになり、売れなければ廃棄。そしてまた、たくさんの新商品が開発され、世に放たれる。 そうしたサイクルに持続可能性はない。 IKEUCHI ORGANIC は、永久定番となるもの以外は発売しない。
2 . すべての人を感じ、考えながらつくる
IKEUCHI ORGANICのものづくりの根底にあるのは、人々のエネルギー。作り手、オーガニックコットンの生産から、製造にかかわる人々そして、使い手である人たち。関わる人たちの人格を感じることを大切にしている。
３. オーガニックに精密さ
世界一安全なタオルを届けたいという想いから、オーガニックコットンで織られた商品を届けている。IKEUCHI ORGANICでは、次の3つを条件としている。
• 3年以上農薬や化学肥料を使わない有機栽培で育てられていること。畑の土に残留する農薬が消滅するまでの3年間は、オーガニックと認めない。
• 遺伝子組換え種子でないこと。人の手によって、より早く、効率的に均質な綿花を大量収穫できるよう遺伝子組換えされた種は、生産ラインから厳格に排除される。
• フェアトレードであること。コットンを生産する農家が、安全かつ衛生的な労働環境下にあり、正当な生活賃金が支給され、正当な価格で安定的に購入し続けること。
※ もともと、オーガニックコットンは世界のコットン生産量のわずか1%程度。その理由は、オーガニックコットンの生産は非常に手間がかかるからです。

TRUE SUSTAINABILITY
The act of production itself is an environmental burden, unless a company understands this and works to reduce its impact. IKEUCHI ORGANIC applies renewable energy source (wind power) for all electricity, and make sure that the wastewater from dyeing factories is clearer than ocean water to minimalize environmental impact.
かたちだけのエコに陥らない
企業が生産活動を行うこと自体が環境負荷になっている。電力の全てを再生可能エネルギーである風力を使用したり染色工場からの廃水を海の水より透き通っている状態に整えたりと、IKEUCHI ORGANICは「最小限の環境負荷」をポリシーに活動もしている。

A Dyeing Method that’s Safe to both Human and the Environment
The dyeing process is the most energy-intensive part of the towel manufacturing process. IKEUCHI ORGANIC follows a “Low Impact Dye" which aims for dyeing that is safe for the human body and has a low environmental impact.
